1 can of lemon pie filling (16 ounces)
1 package of yellow cake mix (15 oz.)
4 ounces of cream cheese, cut into small pieces.
1/2 cup of unsalted butter, cut into thin slices.
Getting ready.
Heat the oven to 350º F and lightly grease a square baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
Put the lemon pie filling in the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly in the corners.
Put half of the cake mix on top, distribute evenly cubed cream cheese, and then sprinkle the rest of the cake mix.
Place thin slices of butter evenly on top of the cake mix, covering as much of the cake surface as you can.
Put the baking dish in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Take out of the oven and allow to cool for 15-20 minutes before serving.
