Heat the oven to 450 degrees.
Mix all the powdered ingredients in a medium bowl.
Then, pour in the buttermilk and stir all the ingredients until they form a wet dough.
Heat the butter in a bowl that can be used in the microwave, and then pour it into a baking dish that is either 8x8 or 9x9 in size (make sure the dish is not too small or shallow to prevent the butter from spilling out while baking).
Put the dough on the melted butter and spread it evenly in the pan with a spatula until it reaches the edges.
Cut the raw dough (it should be covered in butter) into 9 somewhat equal squares.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Have it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! These cookies go well with any meal. I like to eat them with raspberry jam.
