Nougat with Almonds, Walnuts, and Cranberries 🍬✨

Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 large egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup almonds, toasted
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped and toasted
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- Edible wafer paper (optional, for lining)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Nuts and Pan
- Toast the almonds and walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3–5 minutes, or until fragrant. Set aside to cool.
- Line a 9x9-inch pan with parchment paper or edible wafer paper.
Step 2: Make the Sugar Syrup
- In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Increase the heat to medium-high and bring to a boil. Do not stir.
- Use a candy thermometer and heat the mixture to 250°F (120°C) (hard-ball stage).
