Southern Tea Cake Cookies

Components
One and a half cups all-purpose flour, one teaspoon each of salt and baking soda
One stick of room temperature unsalted butter
¾ cup of sugar, granulated
One big egg at ambient temperature
Two tsp finely ground vanilla essence
How to Prepare Cookies for Southern Tea Cake
Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium-sized basin and put it aside.
Add sugar and butter to the bowl of your mixer, and beat on high speed until smooth and fluffy, approximately 4–5 minutes.
Set the mixer to medium speed, then add the vanilla extract and one egg, beating until well combined.
Finally, reduce the speed of the mixer to low and add the flour mixture in three additions, mixing well after each addition.
