Ingredients: 2 big thinly sliced onions

One cup of flour for all purposes
One tsp baking powder
One tsp salt

half a teaspoon of pepper, black
One beaten egg
half a cup of milk

Fry-safe oil for the chives dip:

One cup of sour cream

1/4 cup of chives, chopped finely
One tablespoon of lemon juice
To taste, add salt and pepper.
Guidelines
Get the batter ready: Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper in a big basin.
Combine Wet Components: Blend the milk and beaten egg together until a smooth batter is formed.
Include Onions: Make sure the onions are well covered by adding them to the batter in slices.
Heat Oil: In a large pan set over medium heat, heat the oil.
Cook the Fritters: Spoon some of the onion batter into the hot oil when it has heated. Fry until golden brown and crispy, 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
After taking the fritters out of the oil, drain them on paper towels before serving.
Get the chives ready for the dip: Combine sour cream, lemon juice, chopped chives, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
