Delicious Buttermilk Pie Recipe
Warm the oven up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius.
To make froth, beat the eggs. Beat in the sugar, butter, and flour until combined.
Melt the butter and add the lemon juice, vanilla, nutmeg, and buttermilk. Ladle into the pie crust.
After 40 to 60 minutes in the oven, the middle should be firm.
Take it out and let it cool for at least an hour before you eat it.
Tips
For the rest of the baking time, cover the pie with foil if the crust edges are browning too rapidly.
Light browning on top with a somewhat jiggly middle indicates your pie is done. The more it cools, the more it will set. If inserting a toothpick into the middle of the pie yields mainly clean results, it is ready to be served.
