1️⃣ Mix the Dough
In a stand mixer with a dough hook, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
Add egg, warm milk, and vanilla. Mix on low until combined.
Add softened butter 1 tbsp at a time, kneading for 8-10 mins until smooth and elastic.
2️⃣ First Rise
Shape into a ball, place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1-1.5 hours until doubled.
3️⃣ Shape & Second Rise
Punch down dough and divide into 3 equal parts.
Roll each into a log and place in a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
Cover and rise 45-60 mins until puffy.
4️⃣ Bake to Golden Perfection
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Brush with egg wash (if using).
Bake 25-30 mins until deep golden and internal temp reaches 190°F (88°C).
Cool 10 mins in pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
