Recipe for Chicken and Dumplings Soup

3 tablespoons of cornstarch
3 tablespoons of water
Dumplings are small balls of dough that are cooked and often filled with meat or vegetables.
1 and a half cups of flour
1 small spoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3 tablespoons of cold butter
3/4 of a cup of milk
Guidelines:
In a big pot, melt the butter and put in the onions, carrots, and celery. Cook and stir the onion until it is tender and see-through. Put the garlic in and cook for half a minute.
Add the chicken broth and put in the shredded chicken. Add salt, pepper, bay leaves, and parsley. Heat until boiling, then reduce heat and let it simmer while you prepare the dumplings.
For Dumplings:
In a big bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Grate the cold butter into the flour mixture using a cheese grater. Then, stir to cover the butter with the flour.
Add the milk and mix until the dough forms a ball. You can mix it a few times in the bowl if necessary.
Tear small pieces of the dough and put them in the soup. Put a lid on the pot and let it cook gently for 15-20 minutes until the dumplings float on the surface of the soup.
To make the soup thicker, mix cornstarch with cold water and add it to the soup. Keep stirring until it thickens.
