"Experiencing the love Nathan gave me every day was a wonderful gift."
Schaldach was on the fourth season of the TV show Street Outlaws: Fastest in America. The show followed eight racing teams competing for a $100,000 prize.
His season ended in May of last year.
The first Street Outlaws show, where daring street racers took risks to compete, inspired the current series.
Drag racing is a type of race where two cars compete on a short, straight track to see which one reaches the finish line first.
Because street racing is very dangerous, most places have made it illegal, even though professional sports are usually safe.
In 2022, during the filming of Street Outlaws, Ryan Fellows, a cast member, died in a car crash. Schaldach died after that.
The driver's car flipped over and caught fire during a race in Las Vegas. According to a representative from Discovery, the network was deeply affected by the loss.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Texas police to get more information about Nate's car accident.
"Never fall in love with someone again."
On the internet, Schaldach's friends and fans shared their sadness and sympathy after his sudden death.
Chris Frank, a friend of Schaldach, said that he hardly slept at all after hearing the terrible news.
"Those who competed against him were scared of him, and those who were his friends adored him," Frank said in a video on Facebook.
We are aware that any journey could be our final one, and every competition carries risks.
"Nate was one of the few remaining true racers who truly loved and understood the sport."
In a very sad goodbye message, Paulshock told Schaldach that he would always love her.
"He texted his girlfriend saying, 'Garth told me to tell you that I love you a lot, just in case tomorrow never comes.'" The driver's last race ever was this one.
Paulshock commented, "Please help me out of this bad situation," under a picture of the text messages.
Later that day, she also posted Lady Gaga's song "I'll Never Love Again" from the movie A Star Is Born.
