Preserving Fresh Garlic

Steps: Once you have picked fresh garlic, let it dry for a couple of weeks in a warm, dry, and well-ventilated place. Hang the garlic in groups or place them on a shelf.

Purpose: Drying the outer layers of the bulb during curing forms a protective layer that makes it last longer.

Keeping in a cool and dry location.

Instructions: After curing, keep garlic bulbs in a mesh bag, paper bag, or basket in a cool, dry area with good air flow. The best temperature for storage is between 60-65°F (15-18°C) with low humidity.

Advice: Do not keep garlic in plastic bags or containers because they can trap moisture and cause it to spoil.
