Sweet potato casserole from the South.


 

4 cups of mashed sweet potatoes
1 cup of brown sugar
1/3 cup of half and half
1/3 cup of soft butter
1 egg
2 teaspoons of vanilla
1 and a half teaspoons of salt
TOPPING means something that is put on top of another thing.
1 cup of brown sugar
1/3 cup of flour
One and one-third cups of chopped pecans.
1/2 cup of melted butter
How to Prepare a Delicious Sweet Potato Casserole from the South
Heat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a baking dish that measures 9 by 13 inches.
In a big bowl, put sweet potato, brown sugar, cream, butter, egg, vanilla, and salt. Mix until completely smooth.
Put the sweet potato mixture into the baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Mix sugar, flour, pecans, and melted butter in a small bowl until it becomes a crumbly mixture. Put on top of the sweet potatoes.
Cook in the oven for 35 minutes. Let the dish cool for at least 20 minutes before eating.
