2 to 4 aspirin tablets without a coating (depending on the amount of laundry)
Standard laundry soap
Directions:
Crush the aspirin pills until they become a fine powder. You can crush them using a mortar and pestle or by putting them in a closed bag and rolling a pin over them.
Put the crushed aspirin powder in the detergent compartment of your washing machine together with your usual laundry detergent.
Wash the clothes using the "whites" setting and cold water. Aspirin is most effective in cold temperatures.
The Science of Soap Bubbles:
Aspirin has a substance called acetylsalicylic acid that can remove mineral deposits and tough water stains that can make white clothes appear less bright. It can also somewhat help with removing sweat marks.
Important Reminder: It is not advisable to use aspirin on colored clothes because it might lead to some fading.
