CHERRY BARS


 

1 cup powdered sugar

3 tablespoons of milk

Instructions for Making Cherry Bars

Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cover a baking sheet measuring 12 by 17 inches with aluminum foil. Apply cooking spray. Put aside.In the mixing bowl of your stand mixer, mix together the butter and sugar for about 1-2 minutes. Add salt, eggs, vanilla, and almond flavors. Keep stirring until everything is mixed well.


Mix flour and baking powder together until they are just mixed. Set aside 1 and 3/4 cups of dough. Press the rest of the dough into the baking pan that has been prepared. Put cherry pie filling on top. Place the rest of the batter in small pieces on top of the cherry filling.Put in the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes or until it turns golden brown.


Take out of the oven and put the pan on a cooling rack until it cools down completely. After it has cooled down, make the glaze. Mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth and pour over the bars. Cut the food into 35 pieces and then serve it.
