Am I wrong for asking my pregnant daughter to leave my home?

I had heard that before and was prepared with a backup plan. I regretted allowing Nathan to enter my heart as my mind started imagining different situations. I blamed myself for letting my guard down with him.

I don't know how, but I had a feeling that he was planning something my daughter would be interested in discussing!

I tried not to show my doubts on my face while trying to be a good dad. "What's wrong, sweetheart? "Remember, you can share anything with me." I said calmly. She took a deep breath and then spoke hesitantly:

"I am pregnant with Nathan's baby." You are going to be a grandma.

I was really surprised! I hadn't thought of that as a possibility. Rose was very young, and she was going to have a baby! I felt very sad thinking about how much her life would change.

I thought about all the challenges she would face now that she had to delay getting her college degree.

I was worried that she might have to stop going to school completely because of what she and Nathan were planning to do. Seeing that I looked worried, my daughter reassured me:

"I know you wanted me to concentrate on ensuring my future, but Nathan and this baby are very important for it."

She told me that everything will be okay. I felt really happy when I found out I was going to have a grandson! I got up, hugged her, and congratulated her and Nathan. Rose then stepped back and stated:

"I have another surprise for you."

This time, she held out her left hand, and there was a ring on her ring finger!

"When he asked Mom to marry him, I said yes!" When the crying started, I could tell how worried Nathan was about my child and her future! I was extremely happy about my new baby girl!

Even though I had doubts, I couldn't stop feeling excited in the days that came after. Their wedding and the arrival of my first grandchild brought me great happiness! I allowed them to stay in my house because I was very connected to them.

Nathan started to create a solid base for his new family in the meantime.

The lucky couple was given a special room in my house for the baby's room. It was really enjoyable to decorate together! But one important afternoon, something in my simple, usually calm house changed dramatically.

I arrived home earlier than usual, holding many inexpensive items from the local store. I bought things to prepare for my grandchild's arrival. But I didn't know that the peace of the day would soon be shattered in front of me.

I walked happily into the kitchen and saw Rose there. She was only dressed in her nice underwear. Her surprised expression mirrored the beating of my heart, which sensed an issue before I did.

"Mom! Why are you leaving home so soon? Rose's voice shook as she struggled to speak.

"Darling, who are you speaking with?" I heard from the hallway before I could answer in a deep, unfamiliar voice. The casual way they were talking made me feel sick when I realized it wasn't Nathan!

Rose was holding two hot cups of coffee, and I finally saw this and stopped holding onto the diapers and other things. My hands are still trembling from what I saw that day.

"I wanted to surprise you with these," I said loudly, pointing to the mess on the floor. But it seems like I am the one who is surprised. My heart was beating fast as I walked towards the sound of the voice, not listening to Rose who was pleading, "Mom, please, let me tell you what happened!"

Ignoring her, I opened the bedroom door and saw a man I didn't recognize wrapped in the bedsheet Nathan's mother had gifted him!

Rose, what is happening? With a firm voice, I asked a question that lingered in the room. The man stood up, trying to appear dignified, which only made me upset.
