Lemon squares with creaminess


Assemble the filling promptly.
In a large dish, whisk together the egg yolks and the thickened milk.
Once the mixture is smooth, add the lemon juice and stir.
After the filler has cooled, place it into the lid and gently distribute it to the edges.

It should take around 15 minutes to heat through.
Place the pan in the refrigerator once it has cooled in the wire rack for at least an hour.
Carefully remove the lemon box from the plate and transfer it to the cutting board using the paper used for hanging objects.
Using a moist dish towel, wipe the serrated knife after each cut to create 16 squares out of the dough.
